BackgroundBorn into privilege as a daughter of one of Sharlayan’s esteemed families, Kyrja was raised in a culture of scholarship and tradition. Her family’s affluence afforded her the best education and a future already paved with expectations of becoming a devoted servant of Sharlayan’s ideals and healing arts. Yet, even as a child, Kyrja chafed against the confines of her gilded cage. Rules, restrictions, and the isolationism of the Bibliothec faction felt more like a smothering hand than a guiding light.While her peers debated philosophy or delved into arcane studies, Kyrja quietly questioned her directed path and the moral underpinnings of Sharlayan’s stance. The Forum’s mantra, to observe but never intervene, rang hollow to her restless heart.Despite her misgivings, Kyrja excelled in her studies. She mastered the arts of a Sage with a natural aptitude for both the magical and the medical, blending sorcery with cutting-edge aetheric technology. She was, by all accounts, a model student and stereotypical example of Sharlayan’s greatness. But beneath the polished exterior, she was plotting her escape.The breaking point came during a heated argument with her family. Her parents, staunch defenders of the Forum as any native would be, dismissed her concerns as youthful naivety. When she declared her intention to leave Sharlayan and make her own way in the world, they reacted with horror. Yet Kyrja was undeterred.Kyrja’s journey began in Limsa Lominsa, where anonymity was easy to find amidst the bustling port city. There, she joined the Arcanists’ Guild, leveraging her Sage training to blend in and refine her skills. It was with the Arcanists that she introduced herself as Kyrja Skaer, hiding her real name. Her decision to change her name proved wise; though disowned by her family, they did not cut her off entirely. She discovered she still had access to the family bank ensuring she remained within reach of their influence even as they pretended to wash their hands of her.With gil in hand, Kyrja traveled to Ul’dah, the heart of trade and opportunity. She reinvented herself as a merchant, striking deals and forging connections that allowed her to thrive. With her talent for negotiation and deep knowledge of Sharlayan’s unique goods, she sought opportunities as far as the East, capturing the attention of a trade company based in Kugane. Through this partnership, Kyrja orchestrated the transport of rare Sharlayan wares across Hydaelyn, hoping to earn both wealth and a reputation as a savvy businesswoman.Kyrja’s freedom came at a cost. She knew the Forum was watching. While they turned a blind eye to her mercantile ventures, they were poised to pounce at the first sign of treason. A game of cat and mouse kept her wary and skeptical of those around her. Trust was a luxury she could not afford, and relationships remained fleeting and superficial.Despite this, Kyrja found joy in her independence. She relished the thrill of adventuring, the satisfaction of closing a deal, and the quiet moments when she could savor the beauty of Hydaelyn’s diverse landscapes. Her headstrong nature often led her into trouble, but her resourcefulness and determination always seemed to carry her through. I'd prefer to have fun rather than fret over grammar and style.I am US based, Central Time zone, with a very unpredictable schedule. One week I may be active a few hours each night, another week I may only login for a short time. If we find ourselves in a long-term story, I will communicate any changes in schedule. I will communicate if I'm not comfortable, running out of time, or do not feel we're going in the same direction. Please do the same and I will understand it isn't personal.- Metagaming or Godmodding will be ignored.

- 18+, 21+ preferred for any M/D RP. I'm not opposed to E/RP if it makes sense to character development. Do not expect it in a one-shot. If this is the direction you want she is nonnegotiable a trans woman.
